Gov. Ron DeSantis announced that all Florida school districts will keep their schools closed for the rest of the school year due to COVID-19. Accordingly, VRA will remain closed for the remainder of the 2019-2020 school year. Students will continue distance learning through the end of the school year.

VRA now has a Virtual Clinic where you can speak with our school nurse, Mrs. Ashleigh Avirett. Nurse Avirett will be posting the most recent information and guidelines from the CDC, along with basic hygiene lessons and video demonstrations for different age groups as well as other fun health-related activities. The clinic will be open on school days (excluding holidays) from 10 AM – 3 PM.

In order to help VRA students learn from home, we have created a Google Classroom for each class period. While VRA is closed, we will be posting daily PE/Music lessons, activities, videos and assignments in Google Classroom.

Directions for Google Classroom:

1. Go to https://classroom.google.com/
2. Create or log-in with a Google account. They are free to create.
3. Enter the class code when prompted.
4. Turn on notifications. Check the classroom daily.

Please contact your child’s teacher if you have any trouble accessing Google Classroom.
